FIT AND PROPER DECLARATIONS RELATING TO HONESTY, INTEGRITY AND GOOD STANDING
The Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS Act) sets out fit and proper requirements which must be adhered to at all times by Financial Services Providers (FSPs), Key Individuals and Representatives.
FSPs and Key Individuals must disclose to the Commissioner of the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (previously the Registrar of Financial Services Providers) and Representatives must disclose to their FSPs, promptly and on own initiative, fully and accurately, all information, which may be relevant in determining whether that person complies or continues to comply with the requirements relating to honesty, integrity and good standing.
As part of the disclosure process, ICS requires all Key Individuals and Representatives to submit the attached declaration, duly completed and signed, to ICS (for record-keeping purposes) bi-annually.
