FINANCIAL SECTOR CONDUCT AUTHORITY ISSUES NOTICE TO COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE CENTRE ACT DIRECTIVE TO PROVIDE INFORMATION, 2021
In terms of section 43A(3) of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 38 of 2001 (FIC Act), the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) may by notice require accountable institutions to provide it with such information as stipulated in the notice. The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) is a supervisory body in terms of the FIC Act and may therefore issue such notice on the FIC’s behalf.
ICS is aware of this Directive to Provide Information (DPI) issued by the FSCA on Friday 19 February 2021. The DPI will be made available for completion on the FSCA’s online portal on 1 March 2021 and must be completed and submitted via the online portal by 31 March 2021. ICS is liaising with the FSCA to obtain further information to better assist our clients with the completion and submission of the DPI.
